The WaPo reports, here,  that former Coast Guard Military Judge and now DOJ lawyer, CDR Matthew Glomb was struck by lightning and killed Monday.  CDR Glomb was the military judge in the now oft cited pre-trial restriction tantamount to confinement case United States v. Rendon, 58 M.J. 221 (C.A.A.F. 2003).  Tough year for Coast Guard judge advocates.
