In our continuing series on technology for the Military Justice practitioner, I pass along this helpful piece of information for those that want to follow NMCCA on a daily basis.

If you go to the new NMCCA opinions page, here, you’ll notice the new RSS feed logo on the website.  The feed is here  and looks like it went live sometime around 17 Sep 2009 with the release of the Whelihan opinion and has been updating ever since.

For those that live in the dark ages, 4 years ago, here is a simple primer on RSS feeds from Wiki.

Of the appellate courts I’d say NMCCA may have vaulted past its brethren in technical sophistication and user friendliness.  Now if the Navy-Marine Corps Trial Judiciary could just catch up on the whole docket thingy.

H/t to NMCCA staff.

I hate to do this, but JHC, what are you referring to when you talk about H/t?

    LTC Slade:

Soory, blog shorthand. H/t = Hat Tip or Tip of the hat. See Blog Dictionary here.

I noticed that there are also strange looking orange boxes on their oral argument calender and oral argument audio. These boxes confuse and frighten me. Are they warnings that demons will appear on my table machine that hums and shows pictures? Will the desk so-called desk mouse turn real and nibble at my fingers if I touch the clicky button on the left side? I don’t know; I’m just a simple caveman. But what I do know is that if a man slips and falls on a patch of ice outside a public library he is entitled to no less than 1 million dollars in compensatory damages and 1 million in punitive damages.
