The odd thing is that this thread is ostensibly about the President’s speech, but half the posts are about Cossio.

I still think thumbs down is being used to show disagreement rather than “offensive” as intended. I’m all for allowing us to see if people agree/disagree with the post by clicking on the thumbs up/down, but please add “offensive” as an option so comments are truly hidden for proper reasons.

While far from a Cossio defender, I think the thumbs down on his last post was unwarranted. He makes a valid point about being extra careful with command influence in a case that seems at this point to have some clarity surrounding some of the facts.

Yep, but we all know a UCI motion is comming anyways, not just against the President’s remarks, they’ll shoot for any General/Commander/Whatever they can try to hang their hats on.

The JAG at Ft. Hood needs to be extra careful with the Commanders to make sure that anyone who wants to testify for this guy is not the least discouraged. The JAG also needs to make sure that any eMails Broadcasted from the Brass on base would not give any impression of influence.

Seems fairly innocuous from a UCI standpoint to me.
