Equal Justice for Our Military Markup

Here is a link to the pre-markup memo on the Equal Justice for Our Military Act of 2009.  When the markup report is posted I’ll update this post with a link.  Here is the page where the report gets posted.

Anyone know the secret on how to view Judiciary Committee webcasts?  I couldn’t get the link on the Committee markup page, here, to work.

Update:

Norbert Basil MacLean III: The House Judiciary Committee didn’t get to HR 569 (or HR 3190) because of a two-hours-plus discussion on the first item on the agenda, which was a resolution pertaining to detainees at Guantanamo Bay. Thus HR 569 (and HR 3190) were held over to the next markup which may occur next Wednesday.

Has a bill that would do so little ever received so much support?

If it does so little, why all the opposition from the heavy hitters?

Classic. I know gitmo issues are important, but they’re putting serviemembers’ interests subordinate to a resolution about detainees?
