Moreno summarily affirmed
A friend o’ CAAFlog called our attention to CAAF’s order on 4 February summarily granting and affirming in United States v. Moreno, No. 04-0698/MC. NMCCA’s unpublished decision in the case following CAAF’s previous remand is available here.
Years of work and appellate decisions to get this guy a DD.
Perhaps the DD isn’t the biggest benefit to society. Perhaps getting this guy the conviction and the sex offender registration is. However, the DD will have some other consequences as well. Don’t underestimate the value.
