We previously noted the nominations of former judge advocates and military judges Al Diaz and James Wynn for seats on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  And we noted their confirmation hearing on 16 December 2009.  (By the way, you can watch the confirmation hearing here.)  Both of their ABA ratings were “Unanimously Well Qualified.”  As discussed here, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted unanimously on 28 January 2010 to confirm Judge Diaz and voted 18-1 to confirm Judge Wynn.  (Senator Coburn (R-Okla.) voted against Judge Wynn’s confirmation, apparently without explanation.)

165 days after their nominations, they remain pending before the U.S. Senate.
