    I could rant and rave that CAAF is a court of law restricted to reviewing the record, not stuff outside it, as Art. 67 plainly says.

    Contested factual issues are for trial courts, and in certain very limited circumstances, CCAs. But the no-factfinding ship sailed very long ago–every appellate court does it, even if they shouldn’t.
