Congrats to CDR (sel) Marcus Fulton!
Many of you noticed this already, but I have been slow to congratulate Marcus Fulton for a great couple of weeks of good news. First, congrats on being selected for promotion to Commander. And second, congrats on being selected for the Navy’s Military Justice Litigation Qualification. Well-deserved! In my view, there are few better criminal attorneys in the JAG Corps. Congrats Marcus!

Jason – I don’t think you meant “criminal attorney” – perhaps criminal law attorney? An attorney practicing criminal law?
But in any case – congrats are in order!
If he is a CDR, shouldn’t you be calling him “sir” instead of “Marcus”?
Friend,
I am lazy, but you are right, criminal law attorney.
Anon 1421,
As we are both LCDRs and will be CDRs together, I feel comfortable calling him Marcus. I have called him other things as well, but not on public blogs.
To be contrarian, I am imagining ad hominem attacks against Marcus right now. But at least I have the decency to do it behind his back, because such attacks have no credibility anyway.
Marcus is a …
Was actually thinking, Jason is a …
Who wah!!
Call me sir, Goddamit!!!!
Was there a Naval Message announcing who was selected for Military Justice Litigation Qualification? It does not appear on the JAG website.
Thanks, Jason.
Weirick, you were not.

He isn’t a CDR, he is a CDR (Select) or in the army he’d be an O-4(P).
anon – I was not what?
Thanks for the post.
Man it is sad when you don’t know any of the names below the rank of CDR, well below CDR (sel) (and yes, I know that’s not a rank).
@ No Man. Does that mean the JAG Corps is lost? I agree, ‘cept for Rachel Trest, I’ve never heard of those yougins.
Break Break
I hope you selectees apply the law and ignore the politics, ‘specially you Rachel – don’t forget your Great Lakes roots.
Of course he’s a great criminal law attorney, he’s a Univ. of Cincinnati Law grad!
