The Omar Khadr military commission members gave him a 40 year sentence for killing SFC Christopher Speer, pictured at left, and other crimes. However, due to a pretrial agreement between the government and Khadr, he will serve no more than 8 years in confinement, and he will likely serve 7 of those years in Canada. The Miami Herald reports that a term of the agreement prohibits Khadr from being able to enter the United States or travel by plane. We’ll have additional wrap-up remarks later in the week.
