This Seattle Times article with coverage of the Pfc Andrew Holmes Art. 32 hearing shows the challenges the government will face at trial in the Stryker Brigade cases at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.  Some are familiar, no autopsy of the body in the war zone, and some are just weird, allegations that another soldier was told to shoot the dying foreign fighter after the accused shot him.  I can’t imagine these cases don’t get referred.  But, like other war zone killings, we’ll see how long before the referrals actually make it to trial.
