SPC Corey Moore, one of the dozen 5th Stryker Brigade soldiers accused of being part of a “kill team” involved in the murders of civilians in Afghanistan, was scheduled to face a court-martial yesterday. Moore is charged with assaulting a fellow solder, abusing a corpse, and illegal drug use. The reason for the delay is not clear. Perhaps a plea deal is in the works?

One of the others (SPC Jeremy Morlock) implicated in the investigation is expected to plead guilty at a court-martial scheduled to begin tomorrow. Morlock is the first of the group to face a murder charge.
