On March 10, 2011, the National Institute of Military Justice presented the Kevin J. Barry Award Writing Award for Excellence in Military Legal Studies Award to the winners at the Judicial Conference of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

The Barry Award winner is:
