Here’s a link to a new McClatchy article on the amendments to Article 120 contained in the conference committee’s version of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.  Of course, the bill may be vetoed as a result of disagreement between the White House and Congress over detetainee policy matters.

“Dwight Sullivan, acting chief of the Air Force Defense Division . . . .”  Don’t be so modest, Dwight!  Good read everyone with cogent comments by Gene Fidell as well.

My only comment on the article is why the reporter didn’t bug the DoD/GC for his take on all of this.

  2. Phil Cave says:

DP, I’m lead to believe that DoD did not respond to an inquiry.

  3. Michael Doyle says:

Yes; also, we couldn’t get any House or Senate member to comment on or explain the provisions, either. One HASC member said he hadn’t yet been briefed, others just ducked.

  4. John Harwood says:

So basically the reporter just contacted all the heavy hitters from CAAFlog for comment?  Pretty good article for a media commentary on Art 120 – they didn’t get too much wrong.
