This week at SCOTUS: United States v. Miranda, No. 11-1237, discussed last week, was distributed for conference on May 10, when the court will probably deny the petition.

Last week the Supreme Court heard the final scheduled oral arguments of the term, but we are still waiting for the court’s opinion in Williams v. Illinois, No. 10-8505 (see our coverage here, here, and here).

This week at CAAF: The next scheduled oral argument at CAAF is on May 15, 2012.

This week at the ACCA: The Army CCA will hear oral argument in one case this week, on Friday, May 4, 2012, in United States v. Wall, No. 20100174. The issues are:

I. Whether the military judge erred when he [sic] admitted, over timely objection, PE 4, a CD containing images of child pornography.
II. Whether the military judge erred when he [sic] admitted, over timely objection, PE 12, a CD containing images of child pornography.
III. Whether the evidence produced at trial is both factually and legally sufficient to support appellant’s conviction for the charges and specifications.

This week at the AFCCA: The next scheduled oral argument at the Air Force CCA is on May 7, 2012.

This week at the CGCCA: The next scheduled oral argument at the Coast Guard CCA is on May 7, 2012.

This week at the NMCCA: There are no scheduled oral arguments at the Navy-Marine Corps CCA.
