You might have noticed the dropdown list of CAAF’s merits cases for the current term.

Selecting a case from the list will take you to a page listing all of our posts about that case, sorted in reverse chronological order.

I’m updating the list as cases are scheduled for oral argument. I plan to go back and index last term’s cases as well.

That is a neat and potentially very useful feature, and nicely executed, too.

    Awesome work.

Glad everyone likes it.  Shows that our readers are an enlightened bunch that appreciate all our hard work.  Oh, and on the enlightened part, I note that the most popular link on our page (bar none) for the last three days was the link for penile plethysmograph.  Nice.

I actually had to look that up on Wikipedia, I heard the term used but thought it was one of those old Miramar/Leavenworth Jokes about castration.

I once tried a case in which the defense offered penile plethysmograph evidence in sentencing before the late great trial judge Col. Donald E. Weir.  The testimony was not particularly helpful to the accused, and the look on Judge Weir’s face was priceless — he looked like a bewildered bulldog.

Later he remarked “You hear the most amaaaazing things in a court-martial.”

  6. WWJD says:

Interesting that the Defense would offer up evidence that was not helpful – must of been mixed results.

  7. Christopher Mathews says:

WWJD –  I think they offered it in the belief it would be helpful.  As luck would have it, that belief was mistaken.  Happens to the best of us, sometimes.
