Former Gitmo Lawyer Disbarred Over Release of Detainee Names
Here is a WSJ report on the Kansas Supreme Court’s decision to disbar former LCDR Matthew Diaz. The court ignored recommendations that would have allowed Diaz to resume the practice of law. See our prior coverage here. Here is a link to the opinion.

The court didn’t “ignore[] recommendations that would have allowed Diaz to resume the practice of law.” The court noted them and declined to follow those recommendations, and instead followed the recommendation for disbarment.
Fair enough, declined to follow. I’ve started to equate ignore and declined to follow now that I have a nine year old.
And since I was writing that as my six year old and nine year old were wrestling on the floor . . . I’m almost certain why it came out as ignore.
