Next week LexisNexis hosts a free breakfast & CLE-accredited symposium on Emerging Issues in Military Sexual Assault Prosecutions on Thursday, October 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the the National Press Club, Holeman Lounge, 529 14th St. NW Washington, D.C.

The keynote speaker will be Professor David A. Schlueter, Hardy Professor of Law & Director of Advocacy Programs, St. Mary’s University School of Law. Among many other accomplishments, Professor Schlueter is the author of Military Criminal Justice: Practice and Procedure (now in its 8th edition). If you’re a uniformed judge advocate who practices military justice, a copy of this book probably came with your office.

The Symposium will also include breakout sessions for prosecutors, defense counsel, and victims legal counsel.

I will be there.

You can RSVP online here: http://www.lexisnexis.com/trial/uslm171942.asp

And retired.  Got a call from LNG about that, and once I told them I was retired Navy I was approved to go.

Free CLE with breakfast?  I think that might violate the Ethics Regs if it’s over a $20 value………I had to pay $150 for my last CLE, so I will volunteer to write all the letters of concern to be placed in all the Governor attendees’ local file…….13…….
